Metals are usefull to upgrade your armour or to trade with people so you can earn money.

How to get Metal

To get metals you need to farm for it on a monster called Ancient Spirit, They arent that easy if you have a normal gear so try to find a HC guy who whant to help you with farming.

If you are complete new i advise to make a magic class because the mobs are not that good protected for magic.
